Roman and Oleksandr Fediurko

Roman Fedurko
(17 years old)

At the age of 5, Roman entered Kyiv Children’s Music School №21 (class of Halyna Kotsiuba). In 2013, he became a laureate and scholarship recipient of the Ukrainian Culture Fund under the “New Names of Ukraine” program.

Scholarship recipient of the Kyiv City Mayor’s Creative Award in 2014, 2015, 2017, and 2018. Holder of the President of Ukraine’s Scholarship for Young Artists (2021). Scholarship recipient of the International Music Academy in Liechtenstein.

Since 2021, he has been studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts Graz (class of Professor Milana Cherniavska).

2013:

  • 1st place at the International Young Pianists Competition in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz (Horowitz-Debut group), Kyiv, Ukraine
  • 1st prize at the VIII All-Ukrainian Piano Competition named after V. Pukalsky, Kyiv, Ukraine

  • Roman has participated in international music festivals in Ukraine, Austria, Poland, Italy, Sweden, Portugal, Croatia, and Germany.
  • He took part in a concert at the Alfred Cortot Hall in Paris (France) as a holder of a special prize at the International Young Pianists Competition in Memory of Vladimir Horowitz (2016).
  • He took part in an open-air concert on the Potemkin Stairs as part of the Odesa Classics festival (Odesa, Ukraine, 2018).
  • Participated in the concert Young Talents: Ukraine at the Steinway Piano Gallery as part of the festival “Rethinking Europe: Ukraine II” (Stockholm, Sweden, 2018).
  • He gave a recital at the Marcellus Theater as part of the Festival musicale delle Nazioni (Rome, Italy, 2019).
  • He took part in the concert “The Magic of Christmas at the Belloni Theater”, Teatro Antonio Belloni (Barlasina, Italy, 2019).
  • He performed in the Brunnenhof at the Munich Residence as part of the concert of the winners of the EUPLAYY online piano competition for young people in Europe (Munich, Germany, 2021).
  • Participated in numerous benefit concerts in support of Ukraine in Graz, Kapfenberg, Feldbach (Austria), 2022.
  • He performed twice at the Starnberger Musiktage festival (Pöcking, Germany, 2022).
  • He has taken master classes with professors D. Bashkirov, Y. Dvarionas, P. Palechnyi, V. Mantz, M. Cherniavska, V. Balzani, I. Sheps, E. Delgado, E. Nebolsin.

Oleksandr Fedurko
(11 years old)

At the age of 5, Oleksandr joined Kyiv Children’s Music School №21 to study piano under the guidance of Halyna Kotsiuba.

He began participating in music competitions at the age of 6. Oleksandr received a creative scholarship from the Kyiv City Mayor in 2017, 2018, and 2021 as a gifted child for his achievements in competitions. He was also a participant in the Kyiv Children’s Philharmonic in its 49th concert season.

He is a scholarship recipient of the Leonid Kuchma Presidential Fund “Ukraine.” In addition to music, Oleksandr is interested in learning foreign languages, reading books, and playing with Lego.
